Your 'Frydek' loves very bright light to fully develop its velvety leaves. However, direct sunlight is its arch enemy - it burns the precious leaves. A position on a north or east-facing window or slightly away from a south-facing window is ideal. -
Watering: The biggest challenge (that you master!)
Here's the key to happiness: always allow the top layer of soil (approx. 3-4 cm) to dry well. The finger test is mandatory! It is very susceptible to root rot due to waterlogging. It is better to water once too little than once too much. A very airy substrate and a pot with a drainage hole are essential for survival! -
Humidity: wellness for the velvet
For perfect leaves without crispy edges, it loves high humidity (>60%). A humidifier, a place in a bright bathroom or grouping with other plants will make it overjoyed. -
